Yep, if you fancy getting a copy of our latest EP you can have it for free. Nada. Nothing. And the MP3s are high quality ones, too, none of yer rubbish "four drunks shouting into a bucket" low sampling rates. Which means that if any of the songs do sound like four drunks shouting into a bucket, it's entirely deliberate.

Our MP3s are licensed under a Creative Commons Licence. Feel free to swap 'em, burn 'em to CD, transfer 'em to your iPod... whatever. All we ask is that you don't upload them to your own Web site or otherwise try to make money from our stuff. Cheers.

Limited Edition CD - available now!

A *very* limited edition of the Thank You and Goodnight EP is on sale from US label Keep Recordings. Each copy is signed, numbered and lovingly packaged, and of course it's a great record too. Click here to find out more.

If you've only got time to download one MP3, download this one. It's yet more proof that Calum is an insanely great drummer, and it's the closest you'll get to Kasino's SHEER ROCK POWER without seeing us live ;-)

Lyrically, most of the new songs are little stories rather than big rants or love songs, and TYAG is no exception. It's written from the perspective of someone on their deathbed, overhearing people talk about how great he is when he knows full well that the bastards wish he'd hurry up and pop his clogs. If we had the budget, we'd make a video where Gary sang from a coffin and brought down fire and brimstone on the mourners. It would probably feature David firing lightning bolts from his guitar, too.

Perhaps it's just as well we don't have a video budget.

Download Thank You and Goodnight

This song has been known to make a certain lead singer cry like a baby when he's had too much to drink, at which point he'll stand on a milk crate and shout "I am the king of rock!" until the neighbours call the police. We've described it glibly as being about "when your flatmate thinks he's Jesus" but that's not far from the truth: it's about someone you think you know well suddenly announcing that they're going to do something miraculous. Part of you thinks they're nuts, but part of you believes them...

Download Walk Through Walls

This one started off with a walking bassline from John, and ended up as something quite spooky and entirely unlike anything we've ever done. Oh, and it's in waltz time. Heh.

The lyrics cover one of Gary's favourite song subjects: people looking around them and going "how the fuck did I get here?"

Download Kodachrome

We originally did this song as a buzzsaw pop tune - think Buzzcocks, Undertones etc - but decided that it was even better stripped down to two guitars and two vocals. It's about dreams - or rather, other people's dreams. You can be two inches away from someone but in their head, they're flying through space on a giant purple elephant while Demis Roussos throws cakes at Tony Blair during an Old Firm game. Or maybe that's just David's dreams.

Download Miles Away

Blatant pop music: a cheery song that veers dangerously close to heavy metal territory. Spandex ahoy! It's a typically twisted look at love songs: not "I love you, do be do be do" but the fear that makes your brain stop working when you attempt to speak to someone you fancy, and the projection that means the object of your desires isn't just someone you want to shag, but someone who will cure all that ails you. Which is nonsense on stilts, of course, but we've all been there. Oh, and the delusion that means you're completely blind to the fact that the boy or girl of your dreams thinks you're repulsive :-D

Our first new recording since Fearless appeared on the New Masters CD, which was given away with copies of The Big Issue Scotland in 2003. The CD was designed to showcase the work of sound engineering students at James Watt College in Greenock, who gave their time (and studio time) for free, and featured us, Odeon Beat Club, Mercury Tilt Switch and others.

SOLD OUT, SORRY.

Fearless

Microcelebrity

Realaudio | Free MP3

Ever wondered what would happen if the Strokes and the Cult had a fist-fight? No, us neither. But this song combines New Wave with Big Dumb Metal. And hamsters. And it's been played a lot on the radio.

See you fall

Realaudio | Free MP3
Originally written for the Littlest Album, we liked See You Fall so much we turned it into 3 minutes of distorted guitars and spooky vocals.

Turn the skies grey

Realaudio | Free MP3

Thrashing acoustics, scary space guitar, rumbly bass and big bangy drummy things. Three minutes of bile.

Never See

Realaudio | Free MP3

You may have heard this on old demos, but not like this; guitars go "crash", vocals go "woo" and the bass goes "dur dur dur dur dur".

Shy

Realaudio | Free MP3

Fragile slowie based around a huge echoey guitar and a heartbeat. Look out for the shaky potato in the second verse...

Bonnie & Clyde

Realaudio | Free MP3
More duelling FX pedals than duelling banjos, Bonnie & Clyde celebrates the joys of getting drunk and pissed up on booze.

Pigfear

Realaudio | Free MP3
More bile, this time through a distortion pedal as Calum goes all Sex Pistols on us.

Who set you up?

Realaudio | Free MP3
David plays guitar from the bottom of a well while Calum batters the crap out of his kit and John attempts to blow up the speakers.

The State We're In

Realaudio | Free MP3
Gary thinks this sounds like Marilyn Manson. Nobody agrees with him. He doesn't care.

Not Enough

Realaudio | Free MP3
We probably shouldn't have recorded this one. There's something missing, although we're not sure what it is.
